The inspiration

I am a huge fan of old pulp fiction and appreciate the quick, snappy storytelling of those tales from Detective Tales, Black Mask, Dime Mystery Magazine, and others. I wanted to do something in that vein, but of course, have a female protagonist who gets too close to the truth and ends up bound, gagged, and in peril as a result. Prohibition, organized crime, and the lack of cell phones and other modern surveillance makes some of the writing easier.

Similar to the Triple Jeopardy series, Clara’s books will avoid getting overly dark or sexual and be more about her bondage-centric misadventures.
